I used both with s, which are my preferred set in general, and had no issues resulting from using a hybrid set. Feb 12, 3. Posts: 22, Well heck why didn't you just buy a Wildkat instead? Feb 12, 4. Age: 53 Posts: 5, Feb 12, 5. Posts: There was no change in tone.

Just wondering if it's even possible first before I start buying parts. Any special roller bridges you'd recommend? Thanks, that looks good.
My only concern though is that it won't work as well on a hollow body guitar as it does on a semi-hollow. Is thew top wood thick enough for the screws to work? I'm just too lazy for this kinda stuff but seeing others work sometimes makes me wanna do something Yeah that's great. Just gotta confirm that it works on the Casino as well which is fully-hollow as opposed to the Dot which is semi-hollow. I put a B on my Epi Les Paul because it was cheaper than the B-7 and stewmac has a deal where you get a B and Schaller Roller Bridge for a very fair price the bridge is a direct swap with the original bridge on Epiphones, just use the new studs that mount into the body, spacing is the same.
Ooh yes you're right. Then surely it would work? I don't think they've modified the Casino's internal construction since then. Can anyone confirm? Otherwise I really need to give it to a luthier to check when I've bought the guitar.
Even if there WAS extra bracing or if it was semi hollow, the screws wouldn't even reach that far past the laminated body. Not sure if I want to do it myself or have a luthier do it but either way it'll be cute when finished. Since there will be no problems with the screws, I might just as well do it myself. I have just bought a cherry Casino and ordered a Bigsby b70 and bridge to be added on. They look sweet and I have done a lot of research, there may be other bigsby models people prefer but the principal is the same, it can and will be done!!
The internal structure of the Casino has not changed since the Beatles had the Bigsbys on theres!!! Pleease get back to me when you've installed it and tell me how it went. Pictures would also be nice. Which is a semi-hollow guitar with solid wood underneath the bridge.
If you use the B7, it really shouldn't matter whether the guitar is hollow or semi-hollow. The tension bar pushes the strings down resulting in the strings trying to push the unit back up which means the unit is not putting downward pressure on the top and the top attachment screws only have to resist pullout. It's the smoothest working Bigsby of all 6 my Bigsby-equipped guitars. I'm curious. Did he say why it would "monkey up" a Casino?
Is he thinking that because it's a "hollow body", there's too much pressure on the unsupported top? They have a sound post at the bridge. I really don't think so, if you think about it the Bigsby is actually being pulled up away from the body by the strings going up and over the bridge, so there's really no downward pressure at all, quite the reverse.
