Which vitamix should i get

Hi Elizabeth! Previously I sat with my notes compiled from tons of information and am would love to consider a refurbished vitamix but have decided to go with a white model no matter what. You said the is not to be considered since you can get a newer model for about same price.

I see the is available in refurbished and in white and wondered if you thought that model was a great model as well. Also what are your thoughts on the shorter jar vs the taller when it comes to smaller batches of food. Seems the shorter jar is not as good for that. Thanks you again for the great info! I prefer the shorter jar even for smaller batches.

Thank you so much for the clear recommendation! I just purchased my refurbished Made my decision easy. Great article. Well done. Really, nice job.

Oh yeah, and thanks! Is that true? Elizabeth, your review was nothing short of stellar!!! I was so overwhelmed with all of the models and had no idea where to begin. My husband said to make sure I let you know how impressed he was with your information. I am super thankful for the time and energy you used to share your findings.

We are going with the for convenience and consistency. Thank you so much for this article. Excellent reviews and I so appreciate it! I, too, have been overwhelmed with the choices. Thanks for taking the time to share this in such an understandable way. Happy New Year! Thanks for these reviews.! It made my decision a lot simpler since I was getting overwhelmed with all the model choices. Went with the reconditioned. Very satisfied with the decision and the excellent reviews on it, along with the great price!

You probably missed a very important point on the models with a pre-programmed setting, before you go to work and after you get up, you can focus on other things without having to take care of your Vitamix making smoothies for you to take to work.

This is the reason I chose my Pro. Like only single serves, ever? And only for smoothies? If yes to both, I dare say you may not even need a Vitamix! I bought the 1. Vitamix Certified Refurbished after reading this. I was expecting some wear on it. Not even a tiny scratch Anywhere. Thank you so much for this great review.

YES Shawn! Really appreciate you chiming in and I hope you enjoy your new Vitamix! Thank you for this review! You described my decision making process exactly! Your recommendations and straight-talk made me confident in my decision and my new Vitamix is being delivered this week!

Thank you so much for your reviews my wife and I are trying to decide which one to get she wants to make a lot of soups but also grinds up a lot of dry we were thinking pro just because of the consistency what would you say. My daughter and husband thank you too since they are splitting the cost of my Xmas Vitamix!! I will miss her, but not the Ninja! Deb W. Thank you for your detailed review! Does it mean that I have to buy a separate container to blend nuts and such?

The normal container will do it just fine. But if you grind dry ingredients alone like all the ingredients are dry regularly, the dry container may add convenience. Thank you for your reviews! Thank you so much for your comprehensive reviews and information. I just ordered a refurbished Healthy But Smart is reader supported. You know it, we know it, reviewers at Wirecutter , Consumer Reports , and Epicurious know it, and Vitamix and all its competitors know it. A Vitamix makes easy work out of grinding nuts for nut milk , crushing chickpeas into hummus, or even turning rice into rice flour.

All this does not come cheap! It should be noted that the and the E come with 7- and 5-year included warranties, respectively, so you can rest assured that Vitamix stands by its products. Do you often find yourself not making a recipe because it calls for a blender, or, if you already have a blender, being disappointed by the results? It comes with a ounce container, but other containers are available separately that work with this system. The controls are a touchscreen for a sleek appearance and easy cleaning.

Like other Vitamix blenders, this one has variable speed controls, as well as a pulse button for ultimate control of everything you blend.

The blades of the machine go so quickly that you can even cook your food while you blend. In as little as six minutes, cold ingredients can get heated to steaming, so you don't have to warm up your ingredients beforehand to make a creamy pureed soup. Capacity: 64 ounces Horsepower: 2 Presets: 0 Speeds: 10 Dimensions: The 2 horsepower motor in each Vitamix is designed to stay cool so it won't overheat or stall out processing tough ingredients, like thick batters and doughs or nut butter, or during long blending times.

The motor can handle running for several minutes at a time and produces enough power to actually puree and heat soups and sauces from the friction of the blades—seriously, they'll be steaming and ready to serve straight from the blender jar for fast, easy meals.

Vitamix blenders are the cream of the crop—and are priced as such. Even so, you can get their top-quality blending power for a little less money by choosing a model with fewer bells and whistles, like this one. Even without a special setting, cleaning is easy since all you need to do is add a drop of dish soap and water and let it run for about a minute to clean the blades and container.

Capacity: 48 ounces Horsepower: 2 Presets: 0 Speeds: 10 Dimensions: 11 x 8 x 18 inches Warranty: 5 years. This professional-grade blender is designed to be a kitchen workhorse, with hardened steel blades, ten variable speeds, and a pulse button. The low-profile, ounce container is sufficient for blending soups, smoothies , and sauces in sizable batches.

Even with heavy use, the radial cooling fan keeps the motor from overheating, which will keep this blender in top shape for years. The machine is even exact enough to process coffee beans into grounds or make nut butter. Some users do mention that all of the power makes this blender on the louder side, some going as far as to refer to it as "scary" loud.

But all of that noise trades off to an impressive amount of power that can blend just about anything you put in the container. Even the shape of the blender jars has been designed to contribute to superior blends: The angles of the jar help create a vortex that folds ingredients down toward the blades, so every bit of a recipe is blended smooth. In case the vortex power isn't enough, a tamper is included with each Vitamix to help move ingredients without having to pause and scrape the sides of the jar.

With a classic, no-fuss design, and straightforward features, the does everything you need from a basic blender. It comes with a ounce, low-profile container that gives you plenty of space for blending and fits under most kitchen cabinets so you can tuck it away in the corner of your counter if you don't have a lot of cabinet space for storage.

Let's be honest: Since Vitamix blenders are the gold standard, they carry high price tags. You can still get Vitamix-quality blending power while saving a chunk of change by choosing one of the pared-down, non-digital classic models, called the Legacy Series, over more expensive models from the Ascent Series.

The TurboBlend Three Speed is more affordable than advanced models. It comes with a ounce container, which offers plenty of capacity for pureeing a batch of butternut squash soup and making smoothies jam-packed with fruits and veggies.

The container isn't the low-profile model offered on other Vitamix blenders, so you'll want to measure if you plan to store it beneath a cabinet. Capacity: 64 ounces Horsepower: 2 Presets: 0 Speeds: 3 Dimensions: If you don't have space to store a full-size Vitamix blender, this handheld immersion blender offers versatility and power in a compact form.

Of course, it doesn't include a blending jar or pitcher, but it can be used in lots of vessels. The handheld convenience means you can blend dressings in mason jars, smoothies in cups, and soups and sauces in the same pot you cook in. It'll fit in any container that has at least a 3-inch opening. A blade guard helps prevent blades from scratching whatever you're blending it, making this blender safe to use even in nonstick coated cookware.

Most stick-style blenders can run for only a minute at a time to prevent overheating. The Vitamix quadruples this time and can run for 4 minutes before shutting off, which is plenty of time to achieve the perfect blend.

Power: watts Presets: 0 Speeds: 5 Dimensions: 18 x 3 x 3 inches Warranty: 3 years. The Vitamix Professional Series is pre-programmed with five blending preset functions, taking all the guesswork out of perfecting the blending speed for various recipes.
